The best thing about our town is that, despite the reputation small towns have of being able to bore you to tears, we ALWAYS have something going on. Whether you're five or ninety-five, Oak River's sure to wow you with its array of choices of where to spend your playtime. Drop on by and see what we've got to offer!

The 34th Annual Cupcake Bake-Off was held on April 3rd, 2010. All the participants' recipes and the play-by-play coverage is right here on OakRiverTownship.com -- just click the banner to head on over and drool at our town's best bakers!

Who had the best costume and took home the prize? Come on in and take a look. The planning committee's already been formed for the 2010 Masquerade Barn-Ball for this year, so make plans to be here on Halloween, too!

This year, the Oak River Public Library's Summer Reading Program is tackling the entire Oz series. Men, women, and children of all ages are encouraged to read along and play at special Oz-themed events that will go on ALL SUMMER LONG. It's gonna be a load of fun, and starts on June 1, 2010.
More events coming soon -- check back often for updates, or come on by the Oak River Star-Gazette Weeblog for more information as it unfolds!
